From agents and rewards to a broader vision of cognition.

During my second year, I attended the Artificial Intelligence course, which introduced me to the foundations of intelligent systems. It covered the essential principles behind agents, policies, rewards, and decision-making under uncertainty, as well as classical techniques for search, reasoning, and learning.

Although introductory, the course marked a turning point. It helped me understand how intelligence can emerge from structured rules and feedback, and how abstract mathematical models can produce adaptive behaviour. That realization shaped much of my later curiosity and influenced several of my independent projects, from forecasting models to agent-based systems.

What began as a simple course in logic and reward functions eventually became a doorway to a broader vision of cognition, learning, and simulation.
